Patronal Festival
We will be celebrating our Patronal festival on the 4th July. Following the Holy Liturgy, there will be a celebratory feast, a barbecue organised and cooked by our resident specialist chef, Christos!  Tickets cost £6 for adults and £3 for children; these can be bought in advance or on the day but a quick phone call to Christos on 01772 750684 would be helpful for catering purposes if you haven’t already bought your tickets.  Tasty salads and desserts will be welcome, also drinks.
As usual there will also be a raffle and prizes will be welcome for this. If you have plants , jams, etc to sell, do bring these along. As well as adding to the fun of the day, funds are made which all help to buy our lovely building. We have always enjoyed the celebration of the Feast of the Holy Apostles, and we look forward to this time together. Invite your family and friends for our special celebration.

Volunteers
Christos and Manos are planning to do some practical work in the toilets and to paint them, probably in mid July. If you are able to help them with the painting or preparation work, please contact Christos to arrange the appropriate date to come. Many hands make light work!

 Consecration of the Church
We are hoping to hear soon from Archbishop Gregorios about the date for this historic occasion in the life of our Community; it may be end of September or during October. Watch this space! We will all need to help to make the Consecration weekend the memorable time that it should be.

Orthros/Mattins
This beautiful service will be an integral part of the Consecration Sunday. In order to become familiar with it, we will be serving Orthros/Mattins on the following days: Sunday 25th July and Sunday 15th August. We will start this at 9.30am and it will lead us directly into the Holy Liturgy on those dates. Please may I ask each of you to do your best to attend this service. It will be good for your own spiritual journey, and will help you to enter better into the consecration service when it takes place.

Baptism Congratulations

On 2nd May we had the joy of baptising baby Leo Andrew Paraskeva, our dear Koulla and Andrew’s first grandchild.  On 13th June we had the joy of baptising baby Sophia Nicole Cox.  Congratulations and Many Years!

 In Memory
Sadly, Fr Christodoulos’ mother, Anne, passed away peacefully on 27th April. Much loved by us all, her love and prayers remain with us. May her memory be eternal.

It was with much sadness that we heard of the sudden, unexpected death of George’s father, C. V. Mathew on 9th May. George and Sophiamma, along with Jomes and Josna, left for India immediately, to be with their family for some weeks. May dear Mr Mathew’s memory be eternal. We offer our condolences to all the family.
